Read full details on the ongoing anti-terror investigations. NIA Raids Target Khalistani Smuggling and Radicalization Network The National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced a major breakthrough on Friday, revealing the seizure of multiple electronic devices and incriminating materials during extensive raids at 18 locations across Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Karnataka. These operations target a network involved in Pakistan-backed cross-border smuggling of weapons and drugs by Khalistani operatives. Objective: Exposing the Full Smuggling and Radicalization Plot NIA teams are thoroughly examining the confiscated items to unravel the full conspiracy behind the smuggling operations and the radicalization of individuals, particularly in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and other regions of India. The searches were part of an investigation initiated on December 20, 2024, based on credible intelligence about operatives aligned with terrorist organizations and banned groups operating from Pakistan. Suspects’ Links to Terrorist Organizations and Social Media Conspiracies According to NIA findings: The suspects are ideologically aligned with terrorist outfits and prohibited organizations. They have been using social media platforms extensively to plan and coordinate attacks against India. Frequent communication with handlers based overseas—believed to be Pro-Khalistani Elements (PKEs)—was uncovered during the investigation. This highlights how digital platforms are increasingly exploited by extremist groups to radicalize and coordinate activities across borders. Chargesheet Filed in Neemrana Hotel Fire Case Linked to Khalistani Terrorists In a related development, the NIA filed a second supplementary chargesheet on April 20, 2025, in the Neemrana hotel fire case—an incident connected to Canadian Khalistani terrorist Arsh Dala. Newly Chargesheeted Defendants: Dharmendra Singh Gaurav Deepak These individuals have been charged under Sections 18 and 20 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) 1967. With this filing, a total of six individuals have been chargesheeted in case RC 01/2024/NIA/JPR, which involves a larger conspiracy orchestrated by Arsh Dala and his associates. Previous Arrests and Charges in the Case Before the NIA took over the Neemrana case: Rajasthan Police had arrested eight people. Seven individuals had already been charge-sheeted. Earlier in March, three others—Vijay alias Kale, Yogesh alias Monu, and Sachin alias Praveen alias Dholia—were also named in the chargesheet by NIA, demonstrating the depth of the network under investigation. Conclusion: NIA’s Ongoing Efforts Against Terror Networks The NIA’s relentless crackdown on cross-border smuggling and radicalization plots underlines India’s commitment to safeguarding national security. As investigations continue, authorities remain focused on dismantling networks that threaten the country’s sovereignty and peace. Stay tuned for more updates as the NIA brings further developments to light. Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Logged in as Sadalaw Publications. Edit your profile. Log out?
