Samyo was a student of the Institute of Education and Research for the academic year 2018–19. He also served as the Literary and Publication Secretary of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at AF Rahman Hall, playing an active role in student politics. Fatal Stabbing Reported at Midnight Inspector Muhammad Faruk, head of the police outpost at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, confirmed that Samyo was rushed to the emergency room by his classmates around midnight.
