Key Programmes
Nyaaya Mitra Programme: Identifies and trains individuals from under-served communities, social workers, and law students to provide first-point-of-contact legal aid and build a grassroots paralegal network.
Campus Ambassador Programme: Onboards and trains volunteers (mostly law students) acting as ambassadors of change to engage with law and justice and help communities do the same.
About the Role
The organization seeks a creative, empathetic individual excited to build the public voice of a growing grassroots justice initiative. The role involves communications and branding across programmes, developing written and visual content, managing social media, and storytelling. A significant part involves building relationships with Nyaaya Mitras, their communities, and CAP Ambassadors through phone calls and field visits to bridge the OL team and beneficiaries.
Eligibility
Required Education, Experience & Training
1-3 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in communications, branding, and working with underserved communities
Mandatory: Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Kannada
Competencies & Skills
Excellent storytelling and narrative building skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to connect with diverse groups
Passion for problem solving in law, social justice, and community engagement
Working knowledge of Canva, Google Docs, and Excel
Salary
Starting remuneration: INR 55,000 per month (subject to negotiation based on experience).
