About the Seminar

The seminar on “Re-defining Social Justice: A Constitutional Mandate” aims to explore the evolving interpretations and applications of social justice in the context of constitutional principles. It seeks to critically examine how constitutional mandates have addressed issues of inequality, discrimination, and social exclusion, while also exploring pathways for redefining social justice in response to contemporary challenges.

Discussions will delve into themes such as the role of the Constitution in promoting equality and social empowerment, the effectiveness of affirmative action and welfare policies, and the impact of judicial interpretations on social justice. The conference will also explore global perspectives on constitutionalism and social equity, offering comparative insights into how different legal systems address social inequalities.
