About the Organisation

Seva Mandal Education Society’s Smt. Kamalaben Gambhirchand Shah Law School, affiliated with S.N.D.T. Women’s University, was established in 2009 with the vision of empowering women through quality legal education. The institute has been successfully organizing national-level moot court competitions for the past eight years, providing law students with an excellent platform to enhance their advocacy and research skills.

About the Opportunity

The 9th National Moot Court Competition 2025 is designed to test participants’ legal research, analytical reasoning, and oral advocacy skills. The competition will provide law students with a practical exposure to the intricacies of court proceedings and judicial decision-making.

Theme

The moot problem revolves around freedom of speech in the digital era, online censorship, obscenity laws, and digital media regulations. Participants will engage in thought-provoking arguments on legal and constitutional questions.

Eligibility

Open to bona fide students pursuing a 3-year/5-year LLB or LLM course during the academic year 2024-25 from any institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Each participating law school/university can send only one team consisting of two members (both acting as Mooters).

Registration Fee

₹2500/- per team (Mandatory)

₹4000/- additional for participants opting for accommodation

Prizes

Best Team: ₹25,000/- & Rotating Trophy (In Honour of Dr. Sujay Kantawala)

Best Mooter: Trophy, Certificate & Cash Prize

First Runner-up: Trophy & Certificate

Only 22 teams will be selected on a first-come-first-serve basis.
