2nd Edition of the GCCIL National Mock - Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) Competition, 2025
About GCCIL
The GNLU Centre for Corporate and Insolvency Law (“GCCIL”) is a dedicated centre of research at Gujarat National Law University established in 2012 to serve as a hub for research, training, and outreach in the domain of corporate and insolvency law. The Centre’s initiatives aim to bridge gaps in existing legal frameworks, promote multi disciplinary approaches, and encourage academic exploration.
About the Competition
The GCCIL National Mock CIRP Competition is a one of its kind flagship event designed to simulate the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (“CIRP”) as per the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (“the IBC, 2016”). The 2nd Edition of the Competition, held in collaboration with the Insolvency Law Academy (“ILA”) and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (“IBBI”), promises to enhance learning experiences by integrating theoretical and practical components. The Competition aims to provide participants with hands-on exposure to the practical and procedural aspects of CIRP, enabling them to develop a deeper understanding of the insolvency process.
Eligibility
The Competition is open to students pursuing full-time 3-year or 5-year Under Graduate/Post-Graduate Programme in Law, Under-Graduate/Post- Graduate programme in Finance, Management and Economics from any recognized university, college, or institution.
Whereas a Team may consist of members from different universities, colleges, and institutions, it must be ensured that at least one member is a student pursuing law. Any non-adherence to this rule shall result in disqualification.
How to Register?
The Teams shall register by submitting the duly filled registration form and the registration fee before the prescribed deadline.
On receipt of the registration form and payment of fees in the prescribed manner, a Team Code shall be allotted to the team. The successfully registered teams will be provided with the problem.
The registration fee for the Competition is INR 2000 per team at the time of registration and INR 4000 per team at the time of submission of CIRP Dossier & Resolution Plan. The fee shall be paid only through the link provided in the Competition Brochure.
All teams are required to provide proof of payment to the Organisers to confirm their participation in the Competition.

The Competition will span over two days, viz. 06th to 08th March, 2025 and will be held at GNLU, Gandhinagar.
Inauguration of the Competition- 06th March, 2025
Preliminary Rounds- 07th March, 2025
Advanced Rounds- 08th March, 2025

- Best Team: 25000 INR
- Runners-up: 20000
- Best Resolution Professional (RP): 10000 INR
- Best Interim Resolution Professional (IRP): 10000 INR
- Best CIRP DOSSIER & Resolution Plan: 5000 INR

- Winning team member will receive an exclusive invite to the 3rd Annual ILA Conference at Tijara Fort Palace, Alwar, Rajasthan (14–16 March, 2025)
