About the CAPACITY Fellowship Programme

Formally known as the Capacity Award Programme to Advance Capabilities and Institutional Training in One Year (CAPACITY), this fellowship targets mid-career professionals currently employed in government positions within SIDS or LDCs. Fellows will gain hands-on experience at UN Climate Change in Bonn, Germany, for up to two years. Candidates are selected with the goal of enhancing their home organizations’ capacity to tackle climate-related challenges through the knowledge and skills gained during the fellowship.

Goals

The three main goals of the CAPACITY Fellowship Program are as follows:

Encourage creative efforts to address climate change within the context of sustainable development.
Encourage a global network of innovative professionals to address climate issues.
Develop the leadership potential of up-and-coming experts in their disciplines.
