CALL FOR PAPERS: CAREER WORKSHOP BY CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PRESS

About the university

The University of Cambridge is a public collegiate research university in Cambridge, England. Founded in 1209, the University of Cambridge is the world’s third-oldest university in continuous operation. The university’s founding followed the arrival of scholars who left the University of Oxford for Cambridge after a dispute with local townspeople.[11][12] The two ancient English universities, although sometimes described as rivals, share many common features and are often jointly referred to as Oxbridge.

About the workshop

The International Journal of Law in Context and the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at the University of Oxford jointly invite early career scholars to participate in a workshop to be held in Oxford, 26-27 June 2025. The purpose of this international workshop is to bring together scholars at a relatively early stage in their careers to support them in developing research projects and preparing publications to submit to scholarly journals in the field of socio-legal studies.

Call for papers

During the workshop scholars will make a presentation, take part in discussion, and receive feedback on their work from senior research staff at the Centre and the editorial team of the Journal. The best papers presented at the workshop will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Law in Context, subject to the normal double anonymous peer review process.
